Genetics, Hybridization, and Conservation of Several Sarracenia species Endemic to the Southeastern United States

Dr. Richard Moore has been a faculty member at Miami University,Ohio, for 20 years where he has developed a research program in evolutionary and conservation genetics. He has studied extensively the genetic population structure of wild papaya populations, analyzed patterns of gene flow between wild papaya and domesticated crops, and identified patterns of gene flow.
In addition, he has led conservation genomic projects on several federally listed and petitioned species, Scutellaria floridana, Hymenocallis henryae, Sarracenia rubra ssp. gulfensis and Sarracenia rubra ssp. gulfensis. He has a PhD in Plant Biology from Penn State University and a B.S. in Biology from the University of North Carolina.
