The Carnivorous Plant Tree of Life

James Haig Streeter is an award-winning landscape architect, lifelong carnivorous plant enthusiast, field explorer, and documenter of wild carnivorous plant habitats. Over the past few decades, he has tracked carnivorous plants across the globe, combining field observation, photography, and long-standing experience growing these species in cultivation.

He is a member of the IUCN Carnivorous Plant Specialist Group and founder of the Carnivorous Plant Hunter, a platform dedicated to documenting carnivorous plants in the wild and exploring the ecological and evolutionary stories behind them. His current work includes developing a Carnivorous Plant Tree of Life, bringing together evolutionary relationships and broader questions about how these remarkable plants fit into the natural world.
