“40 years of Dutch Werkgroep Carnivora”
21 – 23 August 2026 @ Hortus Botanicus Leiden

The ICPS Conference 2026 will take place from August 21–23, 2026 at the Hortus botanicus Leiden, bringing together international growers, researchers, and enthusiasts of carnivorous plants from around the world for a unique three‑day program of lectures, presentations, and special activities.
On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday following the conference, participants can join a series of excursions to specialized carnivorous plant nurseries and botanical gardens, offering a unique opportunity to see outstanding collections, meet expert growers, and explore some remarkable plant locations in the Netherlands.
At the same time, the Hortus will host a spectacular exhibition of carnivorous plants, which will remain open from August 21 through August 30.
Even after the conference has ended, there will still be plenty to discover:
- August 24–30: Carnivorous plants for sale by our society
- Daily guided tours through the exhibition, showcasing remarkable species
Whether you attend the conference or simply want to explore the exhibition, this is a rare opportunity to experience the incredible diversity of carnivorous plants in the historic setting of the Hortus botanicus Leiden.
This conference is organized by Carnivora in collaboration with the International Carnivorous plant society.
